Today's Forecast

High heat and humidity will be the story again today as many of us will see high temperatures near 90 degrees with heat indices around 100. Some Siouxlanders might wake up to some patchy fog this morning, but that should burn off and become mostly sunny by this afternoon. Thunderstorm-wise, we do stand the small chance of seeing a couple of pop-up storms late this afternoon. Better chances exist overnight tonight which could drop some hail and heavy rain for some along with gusty winds. While our Saturday might start with a storm for some, the rest of the day will bring more sunshine and heat with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s with heat indices similar to today's. We'll continue to see small storm chances going into early next week as temperature relief works its way into Siouxland. A few days next week could drop highs into the mid 70s for some.
